Beginning

-Trinidad Sunrise-

Today I woke up at exactly 6:05 am and saw a spark of yellow forcing its way into my room. I was sharp as an razors edge. So I went outside on my step and saw one of the most beautiful sunrises in a long time.

I took this picture to signify the beginning of a new chapter in my life. How cliche? New chapter, new book, new page.... how many times are you going to hear those terms. Well, Akil Stephon Borneo is waking up to a new sunrise.

Let's hope that the next picture of a sunset will be my last.

-Have a Good Day-

    World Aids Day, December 1
Today in your spare time, remember all of those lives lost to HIV and AIDS. You can make a difference in the global fight against HIV and AIDS. World AIDS Day isn't just about one day. With infection rates continuing to rise globally there is a great deal still to do, so get involved.

HIV is one of the biggest social, economic and health challenges in the world. It is a global emergency claiming over 8,000 lives every day. In fact 5 people die of AIDS every minute.

Young people (under 25 years old) account for half of all new HIV infections worldwide - around 6,000 become infected with HIV every day.

During 2007 more than two and a half million adults and children became infected with HIV. By the end of the year, an estimated 33 million people worldwide were living with HIV/AIDS. The year also saw two million deaths from AIDS, despite recent improvements in access to antiretroviral treatment.

Despite best efforts from governments, non-profit organizations and healthcare practitioners around the world, HIV and AIDS is still having huge global impact.

More than 25 million people have died of AIDS since 1981.
